Cameroon’s MINAT Boss Accorded Audience by OIC In Saudi Arabia

Minister Atanga Nji Paul of Territorial Administration was received in audience this January 14, 2025, in Saudi Arabia by the Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation-OIC, Mr. Hussain Brahim Taha. This is part of his official working visit as president of the Cameroon Hajj Commission to the Holy Land.

The OIC consists of 57 member states, 48 of which are Muslim-majority. The organisation is said to be « the collective voice of the Muslim world » and works to « safeguard and protect the interests of the Muslim world in the spirit of promoting international peace and harmony. ».
The name of the Organisation of Islamic Conference was changed to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) at the 38th meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs (CFM) held in Astana on 28-30 June 2011.
OIC’s General Secretariat is based in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Hissein Brahim Taha, a Chadian politician and diplomat, is the 12th and current Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. He briefly served in the government of Chad as Minister of Foreign Affairs in 2017.
